Michael Mahoski was born on December 10, 1994 in North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. His father Mario is a Partner at Gold Coast Flooring Supply, and his mother Cathy is retired from her career as a Sales Executive in Information Technology.
Michael attended Crestwood Country Day School in Melville, New York, and continued to Middle School and High School in the Kings Park School District. He went on to attend prestigious Hofstra University to receive his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature and Drama, and his Master of Fine Arts Degree in Creative Writing.
It was evident that Michael was unique as a child. He loved to read, surrounding himself with books, particularly English, European, and American Literature, as well as Fantasy, Thrillers, and Science Fiction. While most of his peers were reading “young adult literature,” Michael was absorbed in The Divine Comedy, Don Quixote, The Decameron, The Count of Monte Cristo, Lord of the Rings, or Shakespeare, to name a few. He also read The Saint Joseph Edition of the New American Bible, in its entirety.
Michael lives in Fort Salonga, a small hamlet on the North Shore of Long Island. Greatly inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien, Shakespeare, and Star Wars, he is working on multiple projects, particularly in the Fantasy genre.
Michael is an avid traveler, and was enriched by his Study Abroad experience in both Italy and Ireland through Hofstra University. He was inspired in Italy to use the architecture, art, and culture of Florence, the lush Tuscan countryside, and the historical sites of Rome as a backdrop for his first novel, The Path of Redemption.
Michael hopes that you enjoy this Dark, Psychological Thriller, with a sprinkling of the Supernatural, as well as his future works.
“Soon, he would walk the grounds of the Colosseum—where blood and glory had once flowed like water.”
